The City of Surrey, local community volunteers, and a team from SORCE will be on hand in Invergarry Planting trees on October 12. The work is fun, and  makes a bigger impact when more volunteers show up. Its a great event for nature lovers young and old alike. It's also a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community. If you would like to help out, the fun starts at 10am. We hope to see you there!

In 2012, SORCE volunteers helped plant a diverse range of trees and shrubs in an area near the pump track  in Invergarry Park/Invergarry Bike Park.




Invergarry Park is located at Surrey Road & Wallace Drive in North Surrey, British Columbia.

The fourth race in the SORCE/Shed Bike Club twoonie race series went down last Sunday with a great turn out a foggy day at the South Surrey bike park. Here are some photos from the dirtwest blog

Round 4 of the SORCE/Shed Bike Club Twoonie race series is Sunday September 15 at the South Surrey Bike Park. The race registration starts at 9. Race starts at 10am sharp! We look forward to seeing you there! If you are thinking of trying racing for the first time this is a great time. The race course is the Junk Yard Dog at SSBP and is great for spectators too so bring your family!  SORCE bike club held a pump track race last Sunday at Invergarry park. We had a good turn out of kids, teens and adults. Some exciting racing went down on the fast and dry track. Lots more photos here

There are a few photos and a write up on the dirtwest blog about last Sunday's maintenance on the pump track in Invergarry bike park in North Surrey.

The work is prepartion for the upcoming pump track races July 28 and August 25

Pump track races will be held at the Invergarry bike park July 28 and August 25, racing starts @ 11am, prizes for best costume and a Chocolate gold medal to all who enter. $2 entry fee with SORCE membership (available online or onsite for $20 for individuals or families) See you there!

Work on the new flow trail directed by our pal Vince is almost complete. Another trail day to finish this awesome new trail should do it.
We also need some workers to clear vegetation encroaching on our single track trails. Lots of tasks to suit your style!

SORCE bike club is teaming up with IMBA (international mountain bike association) on a trail day/ training program at the South Surrey bike park June 8.
 We look forward to seeing as many faces as possible for this truly unique and educational event! All info can be grabbed from the poster above or below

The event is from 9:30am-5pm

Jordan, John and Derek from the SORCE bike club directed the 2013 rebuild of Port Kells Park dirt jumps.

The main goals of the rebuild were: A larger run in. Better advanced jumps. Addition of a pump track and turning gaps into step up table tops with super wide landings. The last time we supervised the rebuild we made some great progress 'click here for last rebuild'. The last rebuil was in 2011 and at the time we weren't able to build a pump track, or make the jumps into table tops due to time and budget constraints. This time around we succeeded in making the Lucky trails a true dirt jump  destination.

 Port Kells dirt jumps/Lucky trails are located at 19260 88 avenue in Surrey at Port Kells Park (behind the outdoor pool)
